Beginning from the second half of 2000, the Company launched a new business program called “SeaRainbow Medicine E-commerce Solutions” providing a centralized tendering/biding service which marked the commencement of the Company’s medicine e-commerce business. On September 27th, 2000, SeaRainbow was the first company in China to be granted a License of Medicine E-commerce. |
On March 6th, 2001, |
the Company signed the strategic cooperation agreement with Disney Internet Group to develop and maintain Disney’s Chinese website. |
On Jan 15th, 2002, |
the Company was officially renamed as “SeaRainbow Holding Corp. Ltd” |
On Mar 14th, 2003, |
the Company was approved to increase capital by up to 40 million shares. After price inquiry, the Company successfully increased capital by 32,222,058 shares, which entered public trading on April 3th, 2003. |
On July 16th, 2003, |
the Company and its affiliates signed as agreement with Korean company Actoz to operate its MMORPG “A3” in China. |
On June 2nd, 2004, |
the Company arrived at an agreement with Korean NHN Group with respects to GlobalLink’s business cooperation. |
In 2005, |
“SeaRainbow Medicine E-Commerce Transaction System Stage-II Project” received 10 million RMB of special project funding from the National Development and Reform Commission. |
In May 2006, |
the Company’s subsidiary SeaRainbow Medicine E-transaction Center Ltd. was issued with a by the State Food & Drug Administration (code A20060001). The subsidiary is permitted to act as a third party transaction service provider. |
On December 28th, 2009, |
SeaRainbow signed an agreement with Express Scripts, Inc. (Public, NASDAQ:ESRX) to found a joint-venture company in order to start a PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) business in China. |
On December 17th, 2009, |
SeaRainbow signed an agreement with China General Technology (Group) Holding, Ltd. to found a joint-venture company, aiming to establish a new type of medical business, and to design a new pharmaceutical distribution model. |
