In August, 1984, Hainan Chemical Fibre Factory was sanctioned to come into being, built by Hainan development & construction head-corp. and it formally went into operation in August, 1988.

On November 30, 1992, via standardize restructure, Hainan Chemical Fibre became a listed firm (stock name "Qiong Chemical Fibre") on Shenzhen Stock Exchange, it was one of the first listed firms in Hainan province.

On December 10, 1996, ZhongHaiHeng Development Corp Ltd became the biggest stockholder of SeaRainbow.

In March, 1997, with investing to form Chinanet Infotech & Service INC., SeaRainbow began to enter internet & telecom value-added businesses.

On May 16, 1997, because of changing its operational scope & style, SeaRainbow changed its name as Hainan SeaRainbow Holding Corp Ltd, short name for SeaRainbow Holding Corp.
On June 15, 1998, SeaRainbow changed its list as ST SeaRainbow, and still kept stock code 000503.

In 1998, SeaRainbow put huge investment into developing a series of products with brand "Junganglun" in order to save its original assets, which turned losses into profits by 22.26 million RMB.

In May, 1999, SeaRainbow purchased Beijing Globallink Computer Technology Co., Ltd. In September the same year, CIS signed a sharing contract with Beijing Telecom, which was a beneficial try between domestic ICP and ISP in the field of internet information service.
In June, 1999, Hainan SeaRainbow Chemical Fibre Corp Ltd was authorized to use the patent technology of producing a series of textiles with brand "Jungang", which solving the constant developing problem of chemical fibre business. "One saved, all turn alive", gradually, the new benefit-added points of the corp. have stood out.

On March 21, 2000, the special treatment to SeaRainbow stock exchange was rescinded by Shenzhen Stock Exchange. The short name of the corp's stock was changed from ST SeaRainbow to SeaRainbow Holding, and its stock code was still 000503.

In June, 2000, XAJH and Asiagame were founded.

In the latter half of 2000, SeaRainbow medical e-commerce solutions, which took centralized bid & purchase as major business means, were switch on.

On September 27, SeaRainbow got the first credential of medical e-commerce throughout the country, which marked its formal beginning of the medical e-commerce business.

On March 6, 2001, with reaching a cooperative agreement with America Disney Internet Group, SeaRainbow was authorized to establish and operate Disney Chinese website.

In 2001, SeaRainbow Chemical Fibre factory planned to produce goods by 11,600 tons, actually reached 11,661tons, creating a historic record of its output.

In 2001, CIS continued to prefect and promote China Telecom value-added service system, and reached telecom sharing agreement with Tianjin Telecom, Jiangsu Telecom, Anhhui Telecom and Shanghai Telecom etc. more than 30 telecom firms respectively. And Ourgame's registered users reached 32 million; the maximum simultaneous online users were over 200 thousand.

In the same year, 26 local exchanging centers were set up in the whole country, and totally fulfilled 14 purchasing items, of which the trading volume added up to 4,415 million.

0n June 15, 2002, SeaRainbow formally changed its name as SeaRainbow Holding Co., Ltd, still keeping its stock code as #0503 and stock short name as "SeaRainbow Holding".
